There are ten Inventory Express Super Stock events scheduled for Delaware Speedway during the 2026 season,
beginning with the first race in May and continuing through September.
The Super Stock category includes a variety of makes and models. Cars may retain the original steel bodies with plastic noses and fiberglass hoods; however, most competitors use fiberglass body panels. All frame components must be stock unless otherwise stated, with no lightening. A full roll cage constructed out of 1 3/4 x .095 min. round steel tubing must be welded to the chassis. The roll cage must be symmetrical in all directions. Similarly, all suspension and frame components must be stock unless otherwise stated. No modification of stock suspension locating points unless otherwise stated. Mounts for upper control arms can be changed to any location or height. The cars may be equipped with dual racing master cylinders or a stock single master cylinder. A brake proportioning valve is allowed. OEM-type single-piston calipers or Howe single-piston steel calipers are also permitted. Super Stocks are powered by a Built small-block engine or Crate motor from General Motors and Ford. Depending on the engine choice, a car may weigh as little as 3,000 lbs or as much as 3,200 lbs. All engines are fitted with a Holley 500 CFM two-barrel R4412 carburetor. The cars must use unaltered manual OEM transmission - 3- or 4-speed steel gearboxes. All gears must be operational, including reverse. Drivers compete on American Racer AR 870 tires mounted on 15 X8 steel wheels. Tire rules have been implemented to reduce expenses. Teams are limited to 6 tires for their first race. The division serves as a stepping stone for drivers who aspire to compete in the Pro Late Model category. Round eight of this year’s Inventory Express Super Stock Series was held at Delaware Speedway on August 28. Drivers raced 35 laps around Delaware’s half-mile, semi-banked asphalt oval.

Earlier this year, Jay Cox competed in the Epic Racewear division and won a feature in his father’s Modified. He entered round eight well down the standings after missing three events. He finished second in the first heat driving the No. 00 YoVo / APC Chevrolet Camaro, then led the feature from start to finish despite pressure from Shawn Chenoweth for his first Super Stock victory. |

Shawn Chenoweth is a regular in the Flamboro Grisdale Showdown, Steel City Rumble and Dayco Super Stock Series. He is competitive at every track except Delaware Speedway. Third in the Dayco standings, with the finale at Delaware, he brought the No. 89C Stewart's Chevrolet Camaro for extra track time, won the second heat and finished second in the feature from the outside of the front row. |

On Friday evening, Nic Ramsay showed why he leads the Inventory Express Super Stock standings. Ramsay won the first heat in the No. 07 Radar Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro and started eighth in the finale. After an incident on lap 3 sent him to the rear for the restart, he charged back to the front and passed Andrew Ferreira on lap 24 to finish third. |

Trevor Collver’s run was even more impressive. Last year’s Delaware Speedway Super Stock Series champion drives the No. 1 Inventory Express Lubricants Chevrolet Camaro. After a flat tire and contact in the first heat sent him into the first-turn wall, he started fifteenth in the feature, moved to the front and finished fourth at the checkered flag. |

On Friday evening, Jay Cox earned his first Inventory Express Super Stock victory. The driver of the No. 00 YoVo / APC Chevrolet Camaro dominated the contest with a flag-to-flag win. Earlier in the season, Cox collected an Epic Racewear Modified division victory in a car owned by his father, Jamie. |
