The Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Series was formed at the end of the 2017 season by promoters from Peterborough Speedway, Sauble Speedway, Jukasa Motor Speedway, Flamboro Speedway, and Sunset Speedway. They aimed to grow Ontario's fastest full-body stock car shows by ensuring that Super Late Models are prepared according to a consistent set of rules, that there are no scheduling conflicts, and that purses are healthy to attract competitors.

This year, the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Series has joined the Ontario Stock Car Association of Asphalt Racers (OSCAAR), which also sanctions Modified and Hot Rod divisions.

The 2026 championship kicks off in May at Flamboro Speedway and ends seven rounds later at Flamboro on October 3.

  • May 23 - Flamboro Speedway
  • June 13 - Sauble Speedway
  • June 30 - Flamboro Speedway (Gold Rush)
  • July 11 - Peterborough Speedway
  • August 21 - Delaware Speedway
  • September 19 - Sauble Speedway
  • October 3 - Flamboro Speedway

The Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models are prepared to a minimal set of guidelines. The cars run Outlaw-style bodies that must meet specific manufacturer and measurement guidelines. Approved manufactured noses include brands such as Howe, Five Star, ARP, Dominator, and True Force. Minimum body height is 43.75-inches, measured 10-inches back from the front windshield. The overall width is capped at 82-inches over the front wheels, 72-inches at the rear bumper, and 86-inches at the nose tips.

Super Late Model engine rules allow one 850 cfm carburetor (no fuel injection) on cast-iron blocks (no aluminum blocks). Engine setback is controlled: the foremost spark plug must be no more than 4.5-inches back from the center of the upper ball joint. Crate engine options, GM 604 or sealed Ford 347, must use approved cylinder heads, intake manifold, and valve-spring packages, with only limited changes permitted and sealing handled by approved builders.

Cars are weighed with the driver, and the distribution on the left side must not exceed 60%.

  • Cars with a crate engine must weigh no less than 2,600 lbs.
  • Outlaw Super Late Models using a built motor with cast iron heads are required to weigh no less than 2,650 lbs.
  • Vehicles with built motors fitted with aluminum heads have a minimum weight of 2,725 lbs.

Tires must be the series-designated Hoosier spec tire, mounted on steel wheels with a maximum 10" bead-to-bead width.

Round three of the 2026 JRS Auctions OSCAAR Super Late Models presented by Just Foam It was held at Flamboro Speedway. The Gold Rush 126 became the first race of the season for teams and drivers, as the previous events had been rained out.

With a purse of $53,000, of which $15,000 went to the winner, this year’s Gold Rush attracted twenty-one entries.

Nineteen JRS Auctions OSCAAR Super Late Models presented by Just Foam It round Flamboro Speedway’s corners one and two on the pace lap for the Gold Rush 126. On the pole is Jake Sheridan driving the No. 52 Pride Seeds / Vibrent Farms Super Late Model. Sharing the front row with Sheridan is Andrew Gresel in the No. 81 Stewart’s / CUSW Ford Mustang. Immediately behind the leaders are Treyton Lapcevich and American Jaden Cretacci.
Treyton Lapcevich is one of the busiest racers from Southern Ontario. The 2023 NASCAR Canada Champion is participating in the CARS Late Model Tour and part-time in the ARCA series, where he won at Berlin Raceway. At the Gold Run 126, he drove the No. 16X A.P. Racing Engines Super Late Model. Lapcevich started in the third spot and remained in contention until the fuel stop. On a late race restart, he grabbed the lead from Dustin Jackson and held on for the win.
Flamboro Grisdale Showdown and APC United Late Model points leader, Jake Sheridan, made his OSCAAR Super Late Model debut last year and won in his first outing at Delaware Speedway. Sheridan was the fastest qualifier at the Gold Rush in the No. 52 Pride Seeds Super Late Model. He dominated much of the event. However, on a late-race restart, there was contact between him and Glenn Styres. Sheridan pitted for repairs and then charged through the field to finish second.
Andrew Gresel only makes sporadic appearances, but his racing resume speaks volumes. Gresel is a former OSCAAR Super Late Model and APC Late Model champion, with two Gold Rush wins to his credit. He started on the outside of the front row driving the No. 81 Stewart's/CUSW Ford Mustang. Gresel avoided much of the drama during the contest and stayed in touch with the leaders. His performance earned him a third-place finish.
Dustin Jackson traveled from Sault St. Marie to participate in Flamboro Speedway’s Gold Rush 126. He is no stranger to Flamboro, having finished seventh in last year’s event. The two-time Laird Speedway track champion recently purchased the 2025 Gold Rush-winning car. Jackson was gridded sixth in the No. 61 Guzzo Electrical Contracting car. He ran up front and, after the fuel break, was third. Unable to hold off Andrew Gresel, Jackson finished in the fourth position.
Glenn Styres is well known for his exploits in the dirt racing world. Recently, he returned to the asphalt and joined the NASCAR Canada Series. The Gold Rush 126 was his second OSCAAR Super Late Model event of the season. Styres qualified thirteenth at Flamboro in the No. 0 Glen Styres Racing Super Late Model. He moved into contention and, after the fuel break, started on the front row, where there was contact with Jake Sheridan. Styres pitted and returned to finish fifth.
In his two previous visits to Flamboro Speedway, Blake Childers earned runner-up finishes. The four-time Owosso Speedway track champion piloted the No. 33 Motor City Home Improvement Super Late Model and was gridded fifth for the Gold Rush 126. Childers was among the leaders during the race and escaped many ‘close calls.’ However, on lap 90, he went wide in turn three and hit the wall. Childers retired from the race and was classified with a seventh-place result.
Collecting a well-deserved victory at Flamboro Speedway’s 2026 Gold Rush 126 was Treyton Lapcevich. Lapcevich has been busy this year competing in the CARS Tour and making the occasional appearances in other series. Car owner Bobby Blount gave Lapcevich a competitive ride for the event in the No. 16X A.P. Racing Engines Super Late Model. Despite a power-steering failure on lap 70, Lapcevich persevered to capture the victory.
